Listen up, girls.
This is how to graduate from college with little, if any, debt:
- Take community college dual-enrollment classes while in high school to earn college credit (at community colleges throughout the country, high school students are graduating from college before they graduate from high school)
- Apply for financial aid and scholarships to attend college
- Avoid loans whenever possible
- Attend community college for the first two years of college, earn your associate degree and transfer your credits to a four-year college
- Work at least a part-time job while attending college
- Attend an in-state four-year college to earn a bachelor’s degree and avoid paying out-of-state tuition rates
- Live at home while attending college to save on room and board costs
- Graduate from the four-year college and get a full-time job that will fund your additional degrees and/or pay off any college loans you may have
What makes me qualified to give this advice? I have worked at four community colleges and two universities. I earned three degrees and graduated three times with no debt.
I hope this information is helpful.
